Ray Firnbach Jr. is the original curator of the Unfortunate Cubs Fan. A soldier, Ray was incredibly bored during his deployment to Afghanistan, and under the encouragement of his girlfriend at the time, decided to write about his one sport obsession: the Chicago Cubs.
His combat deployment held his writing to a minimal, however he continues to juggle the duties as a soldier, writer, and (now) husband.
